DAY 1: Depart the United States from your departure city for your overnight flight to London. Meals will be served and inflight entertainment will be offered.
DAY 2-3: Immediately upon arrival to London, you will be taken to the beautiful village of Windsor to enjoy its charming atmosphere as well as the country residence of the Royal family, Windsor Castle. Following hotel check-in, your fun begins. Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus, and Hyde Park are but a few of the sites awaiting you in London. The city offers history and pageantry, museums, theatre, tea shops, and the Hard Rock Cafe. You may wish to explore the British Museum, view the crown jewels at the Tower of London, enjoy a Thames River Cruise, or shop at Harrod's and Selfridge's.
DAY 4: Depart London for travel to Paris via the Chunnel (train under the English Channel). Paris will greet you with all of the charm and elegance for which it is famous. The Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Sacre-Coeur, Notre Dame, and Place de la Concorde are among the important sights of the "City of Light" that you will enjoy. Not to be missed are the Louvre (world's largest art museum), the Musee d'Orsay (Impressionists collection), the artists of Montmartre at Place du Tertre, shopping at Les Galeries Lafayette (France's largest department store), the charm of the elegant boulevards, and the outdoor cafes. Additional highlights may include a stroll through the magnificent Tuillerie Gardens, viewing works by Monet at Saint Chapelle, or enjoying a Seine River cruise.
DAY 5: You may opt for an excursion to the Palace of Versailles, once home to King Louise XIV, or remain in Paris for a day of shopping and sightseeing.
DAY 6: Depart Paris on your overnight train (with sleepers) to Lucerne, Switzerland.
DAY 7-8: Lucerne is a charming, lakeside resort in the heart of Switzerland. Surrounded by green, wooded hills and majestic mountains, the city offers a view of Swiss life both past and present. You will enjoy such sights as the Lion Monument, the Tower of Lucerne and its medieval wooden Chapel Bridge, and picturesque Old Town with 16th and 17th century burghers' houses and churches. An optional Swiss folklore performance may be offered, as well as an optional excursion to the picturesque village of Engelberg, and to the highest mountain in central Switzerland, Mt. Titlis. Mt. Titlis stands well over 10,000 feet high and affords a remarkable view of Alpine scenery and year round snow. Following your time in Lucerne, you will travel to Zurich.
