DAY 1: This morning you will depart your hometown and travel (bus/fly) to Nashville, Tennessee. You will be met by your tour leader for
a guided city tour of “Music City”. On the Nashville City Tour, you will see major sights including the Parthenon in Centennial
Park, Music Row, the State Capitol and Ryman Auditorium. Your city tour will conclude at the Country Music Hall of Fame. This
museum is a scrapbook of country music and holds unique lyric sheets and memorabilia of classical and contemporary artists.
DAY 2: Today you will begin with breakfast at your hotel, then off for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Grand Ole Opry House and
how the show made country music famous. Country Music isn’t the only thing that Nashville has to offer. This city is rich with
history as well. Your afternoon is devoted to touring the grounds at The Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson, our nation's seventeenth president. The
visit will include a film, museum displays, a mansion tour and even Jackson’s tomb.
DAY 3: Your adventure awaits you as you travel south of Nashville to McMinnville to the Cumberland Caverns. These caverns
are regarded as one of the most elaborate formations in America. An underground journey will take your group through the cave,
learning about the history, geology, fossils and gems found in this cavern. You may even be able to take a bag of this gem-mine
dirt home with you.
DAY 4: This morning you will tour the Tennessee State Capitol. This capitol building is the oldest working capitol in the country. It was finished in 1859 and is designed after the monument of Lysicrates in Athens, Greece. The architect, William Strickland, is
entombed and located above the cornerstone. The Capitol features numerous works of art, historical murals, beautiful chandeliers,
the House and Senate chambers, and the Governor’s Office. You will also visit the Tennessee State Museum. This museum
has one of the best Civil War Collections in the nation. After lunch, you will depart on your trip home, taking with you unforgettable
memories of your incredible journey.
