DAY 1: Following your group's arrival to "The City by the Bay" (San Francisco, California) and hotel check-in, the remainder of your day is
devoted to exploring Pier 39 and touring the Aquarium of the Bay, where you will learn about the aquatic sea life from this magnificent
waterfront city.
DAY 2: This morning your tour leader will take you to the Golden Gate Park where you will explore a treasure trove of attractions,
starting with Stybing Arboretum and the Botanical Gardens, which houses a hub of 6,000 plant species, including a towering
display of California redwoods. Other Golden Gate Park highlights you may wish to see include the ethereal Japanese Tea
Garden, MH de Young Memorial Museum, and the California Academy of Sciences.
DAY 3: Today's highlights include one of beauty, history and infamy as you visit Alcatraz. Often referred to as "The Rock," it is a
small island off the coast of San Francisco which once served as a federal penitentiary. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy
San Francisco's waterfront community at Fisherman's Wharf.
DAY 4: In the early morning you will transfer to the Amtrak station for the day journey to Los Angeles, California. The "Coast Starlight" train
route links the greatest cities on the West Coast. The dramatic snow-covered peaks of the Cascade Range and Mount Shasta,
lush forests, and long stretches of Pacific Ocean provide a stunning backdrop for your journey. You will arrive at approximately
9:00 p.m. in Los Angeles to spend the next three nights.
DAY 5: Today's highlights are all about "Hollywood". Being a cornerstone of Hollywood for over 80 years, Grauman's Chinese
Theatre is most famous for its world movie premieres. Fans flock to these openings to see celebrities arrive and walk the red carpet.
As you arrive for your tour of this famous theatre, you will also see the "Walk of Fame". Over 2,500 stars have been dedicated
to past Hollywood greats. Your "Hollywood" afternoon starts at the Hollywood Sign and continues on to see many movie
star homes, the Sunset Strip and Rodeo Drive. Keep your camera ready in case you see someone famous, like movie star,
singer/songwriter -Jennifer Lopez.
DAY 6: Today you will explore Universal Studios, the largest film and television studio in the world and where many of the greatest
moments from movies and television have been made. You will see why Universal Studios and Hollywood entertainment are
united. Be sure to keep your eyes open for celebrity sightings.
DAY 7: Today your will depart Los Angeles for home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your incredible journey.
