DAY 1: Following your morning arrival and a break for lunch, you will board your bus for a narrated afternoon tour of Americas
seat of power, including a visit to the Capital Building, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress.
DAY 2: Morning takes you on a visit of the Smithsonian Institute and the Air and Space Museum. Here you will view the largest
collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world. It is also a vital center for research into the history, science, and technology
of aviation and space flight. After lunch at the Air and Space Cafe, plan a visit to the Washington Monument. In the afternoon,
continue on to Mount Vernon, the magnificent plantation home of our nation's first president, George Washington. After dinner at
a local restaurant, enjoy an evening at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
DAY 3: This morning you will visit the site of President Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Both the Ford Theater, where John Wilkes Booth
fired the fatal shot, and nearby Peterson's House where the president died, will offer a glimpse of American life and history in
1865. After lunch, schedule a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place of the nation's war veterans, to view a
wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The late afternoon will provide time for a walking tour of the monuments and landmarks around the National
Mall and a visit to the Museum of American History. The National Mall is a great place to not only visit world class monuments,
but also to gather for a picnic and attend outdoor festivals. After dinner at a local restaurant, your group may opt to enjoy
the sights of Washington, D.C. at night.
DAY 4: After breakfast, you will take a visit to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Here you can see how our currency is
printed, stacked, cut, and examined for defects. You will then return to the airport for your journey home, taking with you unforgettable
memories of your incredible journey.
