Rome the "Eternal City" and capital of Italy, is a magnificent city built on seven hills, and is literally layers of history - one civilization built on top of another. Twentieth century Rome is a breathtaking mixture of ruins and monuments, fantastic fountains, beautiful piazzas and innumerable museums. The Forum*, Coliseum*, St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, the Catacombs, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain are but a few of the sights awaiting your arrival.
