Classic London & Paris

10 days

Day 1 - Drive to your airport for departure to Europe.

Day 2 - Welcome to London. Check into your hotel and check out the city with the help of your local director. Ride the "Tube" to Convent Gardens or walk down White Hall to Westminster Abbey, where every Queen and King since William the Conqueror have been crowned. The cathedral echoes with centuries of British history while Big Ben awaits your visit.

Day 4 - Your tour director will meet you at breakfast to escort you on a cruise up the River Thames* to the village of Greenwich. Afternoon brings a visit to the Tower of London*, followed by free time for more sightseeing or shopping.

Day 5 - Morning provides an opportunity to visit some of London's famous museums and landmarks. After lunch, you may opt to join an excursion to Hampton Court*, home of Henry VIII, a monarch whose long reign is famous for too many wives and not enough patience.

Day 6 - Experience the thrill of traveling through the "Chunnel" as the Eurostar Express transports you under the English Channel from London to Paris. Check into your hotel and relish the experience of actually being in one of the world's most exciting cities. In the evening, view the City of Light from the top of the Eiffel Tower*.

Day 7 - A local licensed guide will lead you on an extensive bus tour of Paris, from romantic Montmarte and Sacre Coeur to the grandeur of Notre Dame. From the Left Bank to the excitement of the Champs Elysees, enjoy first-hand the seductive power of this magnificent city. In the afternoon, savor a visit to The Louvre, the largest museum of fine art in the world and home to works such as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo.

Day 8 - After breakfast, your local guide will offer an optional excursion to Fontainebleu or the Palace of Versailles, the magnificent palace and extraordinary gardens created by Louis XIV. Your afternoon provides time to shop or simply to wander in wonder besides the Seine.

Day 9 - No visit to Paris would be complete without a visit to Place de Tetre, where artists and writers gather. Your last afternoon is free for shopping at great stores such as Galleries Lafayette, sightseeing, or maybe just people watching from a sidewalk cafe. In Paris, there is always more to see.

Day 10 - Leave Paris for home with memories to last a lifetime!
